During the first week of July, SMART Myanmar hosted a 2-day workshop which is part of the SMART Management Systems Lab Series, "Implementing Social Compliance" workshop , conducted by technical experts of SMART Myanmar's Social Compliance team on July 2nd and 3rd. The workshop is held at the new training centre of MGMA in the compound of Government Technical Institute (GTI) in Insein township. The workshop is designed to increase the compliance level of Myanmar garment factories with international social and environmental standardsThis 2-day workshop includes requirements when planning the policies and procedures for factories, labor right and law requirements as well as best practices for environmental health and safety.

21 persons from 14 factories attended this workshop and accepted the SMART Myanmar's recycle bags and signed certificates.
